Dealer Notes

Welcome to the 2018 Ford Expedition. From its confident grille and aluminum-alloy body to its sculpted profile and sleek wheel designs, the new, completely redesigned exterior makes a bold yet luxe statement at every turn. This SUV also comes with standard features like halogen fog lamps, running boards and roof rack side rails. Passengers can customize their riding comfort, with three rows of flexible seating, available second-row tip-and-slide seats and third-row power reclining seats. The shelf and cargo floor are specifically designed so that items don't fall out of the cargo area when the liftgate is opened, even when the Expedition is parked on a hill. The interior features enhanced active noise control that emits sound waves that cancel out unwanted sounds in the cabin such as engine, transmission and wind. The Expedition's 3.6L EcoBoost engine is powered by direct injection and twin air-to-air intercooled turbochargers delivering a surge of on-demand power. A 10-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul mode distributes power to help ensure maximum traction and a great ride on any road. If you need to tow a large trailer, 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque gives you a best-in-class 9,300-lb. towing capacity. The available 360-degree camera with split-view display enables you to see all sides of the vehicle on the eight-inch color LCD screen. The Expedition offers a range of convenient features to staying connected on the road, including navigation, six available USB ports, a center console wireless charger, and dual-headrest rear-seat entertainment system.

  • Satisfied New Owner

We have a 2018 Ford Expedition Limited 4WD that we have owned for about six weeks now. (It was a dealer demo w/5000 miles when we bought it.) We have made one long trip with it (about 800 miles with five adults and a dog - no complaints). We are very happy with it so far. I traded in my 10-year old GMC SUV and wanted a large 3-row SUV that can tow. My wife approves of the passenger seat (very important). As the driver, I really liked the adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and rain sensing wipers. The passengers took full advantage of the wifi hotspot. It has plenty of power and the 10-speed transmission is smooth as butter. I do not mind the engine stop/start feature (and it can be turned off). This is a truck based SUV so it does handle like a truck. That is what I wanted but it may not suit everyone. Our gas mileage on the trip was just a bit better than the EPA estimates.
  • Excellent large size SUV but pricey

2019 Expedition Max Platinum 4x4 Great ride. Excellent performance , features and space. 3rd row seats were fine for adults even during long road trip. Gas mileage good - but not great -considering size but A/C usage now pushing it down a bit.. Drives a bit smaller than actual size but would hate to be parking in close quarters without 360 camera. Have not towed yet- but suspect will do very well. Only thing not 4 or 5 star is price. Considerably overpriced compared to rivals - but also considerably better. IMHO the best current non luxury full size SUV - and the Platinum approaches luxury level.

I am a mother and I needed to get rid of my 14 year old Chevrolet Suburban. The new Suburban felt clunky and low quality. I love my new Expedition. The third row is big enough for my 18 year old son. And I live for the 375 horsepower. Also the SYNC is easy to use and has (my favorite) Apple CarPlay! I think it is a mother’s dream car! 5/5
